Our three-person team placed ninth in Chicago’s Great Grownup Spelling Bee.

I won’t say where I ranked among my teammates because I married one of them, but we did manage to beat the Chicago Tribune and the Encyclopedia Britannica.

We finally lost on the word RUTCH. It was too easy. We overthought it.
